First Times

I remember possibly the first time driving a vehicle. I may get some of the details wrong but I think that is insignificant. I was helping my dad one day and we were doing yard work probably when I was about 14 or 15. The yard work involved hauling some large things (like dug up stumps) around the yard in the big brown Ford truck. It was really big and quite new; it was a four-door-duley truck with lights all over that lit it up like a Christmas tree in the dark. Anyways, I was told to go get the truck and back it up to a certain area. It seemed like a big deal to me because I was to get in and drive it all alone. I was trusted with this big new beast of a vehicle all on my own. I could ram it into a tree, but I didn't because I was so overly cautious because I didn't want to blow this. Anyways, it was some sort of right of passage for me because I drove a vehicle as the only one in it.
Does anyone want to share any first-time stories that were significant in your lives?

I would love to share a first time experience but i am going to refrain because it is VERY inapropriate

Hahahahah! Barry, I guess maybe we should thank you for your restraint, even though you sort of are being a spoil-sport. Can't you think of any other experiences even if only mildly inappropriate?

Hmmm, still no stories? Does everyone need more time for this one? Ok Extension granted. Make it fast though, we need to move on with our course.

I remember the first time I ever actually rode my bike with only two wheels. I remember practicing really really hard for a long time and then one day while I was practicing, IT HAPPENED!!! I was riding and went all the way around the cul-de-sac!!! I was soooo excited, and then I realized that my mom didn't even see me and I was so hoping she was celebrating with me... so then I was a little crushed... I remember it so well that I could tell you exactly what street it was... but I forget the name of the street, "Calendonia Pl" Ok, so I had to look up a map of Elkford to find the street name, but I remember what street it was... Do I win a prize for telling you of a first that I rememeber as an event that was not as satisfying as I had hoped at the time?

I remember my first kiss. You probably wouldn't count it as a real kiss, but i did. His name was James, and we were playing "kissing tag." Of course, he was faster than me, so he caught me and planted a kiss on my cheek. This story wouldv'e been more interesting if it was something I did in junior high.

Haaaallllright! That's what I'm talking about!

Thanks Cindy. It's funny, that I don't remember my first time riding a bike. It was definitely significant for you. Cool memory. I might have to look for that street.

Anh- Do I need to go beat up this James guy?

Firsts huh?
I remember the first time I had horseradish.
Probably one of the more unpleasant of my life experiences.
Do people seriously eat that stuff?
Cheers,
Liz

Liz- Yes, I eat that stuff and I love it. It sounds like it would be a strong memory though.
